The Master’s Degree Programme in Civil and Environmental Engineering is open to applicants holding a first-cycle degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent to the Italian Laurea) in Civil and Environmental Engineering, or in closely related disciplines, provided that they demonstrate a solid background in core civil engineering subjects.
Admission is subject to a preliminary evaluation of the candidate’s academic background and preparation. A minimum level of English proficiency corresponding to CEFR B2 (upper-intermediate) is required.
The programme is offered in both full-time and part-time modalities. The standard duration is two years for full-time students and four years for part-time students.
All applicants are subject to a preliminary assessment of their academic background and preparation.
If you hold an Italian first-cycle degree (Laurea), please proceed directly to Step 2. In this case, the evaluation of your academic preparation will be carried out at a later stage, during the enrollment process.
If you do not hold an Italian first-cycle degree, you are required to create a new account (or log in) on the Student Portal GOMP and submit your application through the “Pre-admission – International Students” section.
The following documents must be uploaded:
University transcript of records (or EU Diploma Supplement);
Curriculum Vitae;
Motivation letter;
Certificate of English language proficiency;
Valid passport or identity card.
Once all documents have been uploaded, you will be prompted to pay a €15 application fee in order to complete the pre-admission procedure.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by email.
Early application is strongly recommended to allow sufficient time for the completion of all required administrative procedures.
If you have been pre-admitted, or if you hold an Italian first-cycle degree (Laurea), you are required to verify whether a Student Visa is needed for your enrollment.
If a Student Visa is not required, please proceed directly to Step 3.
If a Student Visa is required, you must complete the pre-enrollment application through Universitaly, the official portal of the Italian Ministry of University and Research dedicated to international students. Detailed instructions regarding the procedure will be provided to all pre-admitted candidates and are also available at the following link.
Please note that the pre-enrollment application for the forthcoming academic year becomes available only from the end of March. Applicants are therefore strongly advised not to submit an application for the incorrect academic year.
Once your Student Visa has been granted, or if you do not require a visa, you may proceed with the enrolment at UNICAS.
Detailed instructions and practical information regarding Steps 2 and 3 will be provided to all pre-admitted candidates and are also available here.
