Applications for the academic year 2026/27 are now open.
University of Cassino and Southern Lazio has just launched a new Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, further strengthening its commitment to excellence in engineering education.
Civil and Environmental Engineering programmes provide students with a comprehensive education in the planning, design, construction, and management of infrastructure and environmental systems essential to modern society. These programmes integrate fundamental scientific principles with advanced engineering methodologies to address challenges related to the built environment, natural resources, and environmental sustainability.
At the Bachelor’s level, the programme offers a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering sciences, combined with introductory and intermediate courses in structural engineering, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, construction engineering, and environmental engineering. Students develop analytical and problem-solving skills and gain an understanding of the physical and mechanical behaviour of structures, soils, fluids, and materials. The Bachelor’s degree prepares graduates for entry-level engineering positions, technical roles in industry and public administration, or further specialization through graduate studies.
At the Master’s level, the programme provides advanced and specialized knowledge in key areas of Civil and Environmental Engineering, such as structural engineering, hydraulic and water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation systems, environmental engineering, and infrastructure management. Students acquire the skills required to design complex engineering systems, perform advanced modelling and analysis, and address technical, environmental, and sustainability challenges. Particular emphasis is placed on innovation, resilience, and sustainable development, preparing graduates for leadership roles in engineering practice, research, and international professional environments.
Graduates of Civil and Environmental Engineering programmes contribute to the design and management of buildings, bridges, dams, transportation systems, water supply and wastewater treatment systems, coastal and hydraulic works, and environmental protection measures. Their work plays a fundamental role in ensuring public safety, environmental protection, and the sustainable development of infrastructure and natural resources.
These programmes also provide a strong preparation for careers in engineering consulting, construction companies, public agencies, research institutions, and international organizations, as well as for doctoral studies and academic careers.
